The MR2, a mid-engine 2 seater sports car, will keep its current HRE 549 wheels, and replaced with the 6-spoke Competition wheels as soon as it returns from being painted. Bob recently finished a new engine for the car, a turbocharged (Garrett T-28 ball bearing) 4-AGZE 1600cc block with full internals, TRD valvetrain, an Electromotive TEC-II stand-alone engine management system. Should be good for 300 rwhp- and the car weighs 2250 lbs.!! This car was a blast with 114 hp; imagine the MR2 with 3x the horsepower!

It is said that the MKI, first generation Mr2 is actually an abandoned Lotus model; sold to Toyota in 1984. The original name of the Mr2 is the Lotus X100.
